Ημίπτερα της Σάμου

Υποτάξη εντόμων που δεν υφίσταται μεταμόρφωση. Όταν το έντομο βρίσκεται στο στάδιο της νύμφης πλησιάζει σταδιακά την μορφή του ενήλικου. Μπορούν να προκαλέσουν σημαντικές οικονομικές ζημίες σε καλλιέργειες εφόσον ρουφούν τον χυμό των φυτών τα οποία μπορούν και τρυπούν με την βοήθεια στοματικών μερών.Κανονικά έχουν δύο ζεύγη φτερών.Το μπροστινό ζεύγος είναι τουλάχιστον κατά ένα μέρος σκληρυμένο και μοιάζει με τα έλυτρα (το πρώτο ζευγάρι των φτερών που είναι σκληρό και δεν χρησιμοποιείται για το πέταγμα, αλλά για να προστατεύει το πίσω μέρος του σώματος και το δεύτερο ζευγάρι φτερών) των Κολεόπτερων. Ο αριθμός των ειδών της Σάμου είναι άγνωστος. 

Hemiptera of Samos

Insects subclass without metamorphosis. When the insect is at the larva stage, it gradually approaches the form of the adult. They can cause significant economic damages to crops if they suck the juice of plants that can puncture with the help of mouthpieces. Normally they have two pairs of feathers.The front pair is at least partly hardened and looks like elytra(the first pair of feathers that are hard and not used for flying,but to protect the back of the body and the second pair of wings)of the Coleoptera.The number of species of Samos is unknown.
